In the second half, Inter took the lead again through Denzel Dumfries, who scored two and assisted one in the game, but Barca quickly equalized to 3-3 when Rafinha’s long-range shot hit the crossbar before bouncing off Yann Sommer and into the net.

“I really admire what we did today,” Hansi Flick said after the game. “We played very well and of course the goal conceded was not good. We will have to talk about it and analyse it, but the way we played, the style of play was excellent.”

“In the first half, our performance was up and down, but the second half was excellent. Lamine’s goal to make it 2-1 was very important.”

“I’m happy with the performance of my team. We did well and we have to keep fighting. The next game in Milan is no different from the final. It’s like the final before the final.”

For the second leg, Inter Milan will return to their Giuseppe Meazza home on Tuesday, May 6.
